Siege machines upgrade costs and times
Data current as of Updated
Siege machines arrive with the Workshop at Town Hall 12 and change what your Clan Castle troops can do. A Log Launcher or Wall Wrecker opens a path through walls, a Siege Barracks delivers troops behind the first line, and a Battle Blimp drops your reinforcements straight onto the core. The siege machine is a decision, not a default: the best one depends on the attack you are running.
Siege levels are researched in the Laboratory like troops, paid in elixir, and they take lab time away from your army. Each section below lists every research step with its cost, research time and Laboratory requirement, plus the Town Hall where that lab level first becomes available. Level 1 comes with the machine, so tables start at level 2. Later machines need a higher Laboratory before their first research is possible, which the “research from” line on each section shows.
Because clanmates can donate siege machines, you may not need every one at the TH Cap yourself. Use the Town Hall filter to see what each machine reaches at your level and what researching the full set would cost, then decide which one or two belong in your own lab queue.
What to upgrade first
- The siege your main attack uses. A low-level machine dies before it delivers; one maxed siege beats several half-levelled ones.
- A second machine for a different base type, for example a wall-breaking siege for ground attacks and the Battle Blimp for surgical ones.
- Workshop upgrades alongside research. The Workshop unlocks new machines; the lab levels them. Both need to keep pace.
